Identity Verification
The identity verification process typically takes up to 3 working days. However, in rare cases, it may extend to 5 working days if additional verification checks are required.
Important Identity Verification Requirements:
- You need to upload a genuine passport that matches your profile picture and name.
- Your passport must be real and unaltered.
- If your current location differs from where your ID document was issued, you need to upload a real, recent utility document that has your name and location to verify your location.

Skill-Based Account Verification
Having your identity verified does not mean your Hourspent account is verified. You need to schedule a skill verification appointment to get your Hourspent account approved before submitting proposals on projects on the Marketplace or get matched to projects on employers' or clients' Workspace.
Skill-Based Appointment Process:
- Schedule an Appointment: A screening process that includes a live language/personality screening and in-depth tests.
- Upload Previous Work Samples: Images or videos of your previous work with a well-written title and description to showcase on your Hourspent profile.
- Skill Review: You will be screened on the areas of expertise you selected.
- Scoring Criteria: There is no fixed score to attain. However, talents who scored above 60% in each of their area of expertise tend to attract more clients than talents who scored lower.
- Verification Timeline: Once an appointment is completed and reviewed, your account gets verified within 1-3 working days.
